With multiple teachers in each class, scholars get the one-on-one support that they need.  Our educators are developed in the skills of identifying and supporting individual scholars needs with personalized learning plans.  At Sea Islands Heritage Academy, we see your scholar's needs and tailor their instruction!

In honoring the arts, history, civic, and natural resources of the Sea Islands and broader Lowcountry, scholar learning is placed in a local context.  Scholars will receive high-quality, standard aligned instruction that is relevant to their every-day experiences.

Families are the experts on their scholars. We work proactively alongside families to support every scholars' village.  Through our House System each scholar has an advisor/mentor to support and challenge them on their educational journey.

Our partnerships with local businesses and local organizations give scholars ample opportunity to explore in-demand career pathways.  At SIHA, we present openings for scholars that aim to help them figure out who they want to be, while also providing the skills and support to make that happen!

SCReady Testing

SC Ready testing is an important part of assessing student progress in South Carolina. To support families, the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) provides a variety of resources for parents and students. Sample Individual Student Reports (ISRs), Parent Brochures, and the Writer’s Checklist are available in ten different languages on the SCDE Student and Parent Resources webpage.

Parents who need additional accommodations can also complete the Parent Resource Alternate Request Form found on the same page. This form allows families to request alternate formats for languages other than English, large print, Braille, or oral accommodations.

We encourage all parents to explore these resources to better understand SC Ready testing and support their child’s academic success.

SCReady Dates: May 20, 22, 23, 28 and 29.
